Then finishing off the day with dinner by an open fire, with traditional meets and cheeses, a week really isn’t enough to fit in all the amazing eateries. The town is populated with 3 groups, those wanting to flash the cash, those wanting to ride first to last lift, and those who booked Verbier on accident! For those who love to ride, if you are willing to go “off the beaten track” or even work for your run, ie hiking, touring, you will be rewarded. You will have to fight for fresh tracks but if you and your bae will put in the effort, you might just get them!

So for those couples who want to head out on a real adventure, different to any of the main alpine resorts, look no further- plus is so much better value for money.

Pas de la Casa

This cute little resort which is in easy reach distance from Barcelona or Toulouse. They have also put together some great ski pack offers to save you money on your lift passes, ski hire and tuition. Every aspect of the holiday can be booked through the resort website as well which will save you a pretty penny. They so also have a pretty great snow park and the pistes are impeccably maintained. A fantastic intermediate resort.

Bansko
Perfect For: The Cheap Romantics

We should not be sleeping on Bansko. If you are wanting to get away to the mountains but are thoroughly sick of it costing an arm and a leg then you should reconsider and getting booking to Bulgaria. Its a heady mix of friendly locals, a fun but basic mountain and enviable prices. Think almost 25% less than it’s Swiss counterparts. It’s an ideal resort for intermediates.
