Durable Water Repellent (DWR)

We equip all our fabrics with the PFC-free ECO Huntsman Zelan R3 DWR treatment. Water beads right off instead of soaking in, meaning improved waterproofing and reduced moisture ingress even in severe weather conditions and deep powder.

Fully Taped Seams

We fully tape our seams to make sure water can't get in. The seams are the weakest point of any garment, so by using a special tape that makes them totally waterproof, you can ride in the deepest powder or the gnarliest storms with confidence.

Sorona Insulation

We use Sorona ECO insulation, which is made partially from renewable, plant-based fibres, and provides warmth-to-weight ratio for true all-day comfort.

Shell Fabric

Our shells are a 2-layer laminated fabric, with a super-tough woven outer, and our own Dope DRYTECH waterproof membrane underneath. A DWR treatment is then applied, providing great waterproofing, breathability, and resistance to wear in all situations (80,000 Martindale score minimum).

Bought this jacket in Jan 2023. Now I’ve had time to wear it a bit thought it time to write a review. I spent a few weeks snowboarding in the Alps last year, this jacket held up great in temps down to -15 degrees, but also didn’t overheat when the weather was in the positives (great ventilation zips). I’ve worn it in torrential rain in the UK and it kept me very dry, so it definitely holds up well as a raincoat as well as winter coat. The hood is very large and easily fits over my helmet, although may be considered a little large without one (but I normally wear hats so it suits me). Pockets sizes are nice and large. Will definitely buy from Dope again when it comes to getting more gear.
