When you find yourself choosing a pair, you should pay attention to mainly two criteria: waterproofing and breathability.
Check the water column
Most modern designs have a water column between 5,000 mm and 20,000 mm. This measure indicates how many drops of water pass inside the fabric from a pressure of between 5,000 and 20,000 millilitres. The higher the water column, the higher the waterproofness.
